Beide gebouwen werden in de loop van de 19de eeuw gebouwd en vormden samen met de boerderij stroomafwaarts gelegen een duidelijk geheel van de abdijheerschappij die door de orde van de Visitandines werd bezet.<\/p>\n

In de loop van de 20ste eeuw wisselden de gebouwen verschillende keren van eigenaar en werden ze van elkaar gescheiden.<\/p>\n

De kasteelboerderij bleef bestaan als een burgerwoning en de stallen werden omgevormd tot een stal waar de koeien van de stroomafwaarts gelegen boerderij werden ondergebracht.<\/p>\n

Eind 2009 verwierf de huidige eigenaar het gebouw dat niet meer voldeed aan de normen voor het onderbrengen van het vee. Verder verkeerde het in een ernstige staat van verval.<\/p>\n

Na 3 jaar administratieve rompslomp voor het verkrijgen van de stedenbouwkundige vergunning en het groene licht van de brandpreventiedienst konden de werken uiteindelijk dan toch beginnen.<\/p>\n

Van 2013 tot 2015 heeft de eigenaar de bouw van de uitbreiding van het bestaande gebouw uitgevoerd. Een aanbouw op een eiken frame op de ouderwetse manier vervaardigd, met pennen en gaten.<\/p>\n

In 2015 werd er begonnen aan de oprichting van het stenen gebouw dat, om uitbreiding van de schade te voorkomen, eerder in verschillende fasen werd gestabiliseerd en gedeeltelijk herbouwd.<\/p>\n

5 jaar lang heeft de eigenaar gewerkt om de werkzaamheden uit te voeren, bijgestaan \u200b\u200bdoor een ontelbaar aantal ambachtslieden. Uiteindelijk, ondanks de talloze perikelen die we hebben moeten doorstaan, opent de g\u00eete zijn deuren in het voorjaar van 2021.
